A BRIDGE ACROSS HEAVEN
Concept
This celebrated story will be reimagined for the modern world, highlighting themes of universal love, beauty, and harmony. While deeply rooted in Chinese folklore, this timeless tale has spread like spores in the wind across Asia, inspiring events such as Japan's Tanabata Festival, Korea's Chilseok tradition, and Vietnam's Tết Trung Thu, as well as celebrations in other countries with significant Chinese communities. These shared adaptations play a vita lrole in bridging connections between diverse cultures, showcasing how love can overcome all obstacles and how modernity can draw inspiration from its myths and ancestral roots.
“Throughout my career I’ve devoted myself to producing theatrical experiences that enable audiences to explore their identities through the prism of diverse cultures. I firmly hold the conviction that when worlds converge, beauty unfolds. In doing so, it at the very least expands our notion of universalism in art and, at the very best it makes the world more tolerant, curious and generous”
