Through visual direction, costumes and set design, Marie Cantenys develops visual narratives for the dance and art world. As a Central Saint Martins graduate, she has built on her fashion background to explore and define new relationships between body, garment and space.

Her work under Marie Cantenys Studio premiered at world-renowned venues such as the Barbican Centre and Sadler's Wells Theatre in London, the Centre George Pompidou in Paris, or in Al-'Ula (Saudi Arabia). Her collaborators include internationally acclaimed artists, choreographers and institutions such as Tim Yip, Akram Khan and the English National Ballet.
